About Me

Dee Washburn, LPC has been in private practice since 1996. She has owned and operated Daleville Family Counseling, Inc. across from Lord Botetourt High School in Daleville since 2006. She obtained her degrees from Virginia Polytechnic Institute & State University in Psychology, minoring in Sociology in 1991 and Liberty University with a Masters in Counseling in 1996.

Dee has specialized training in Rational Emotive Behavior Therapy from the Albert Ellis Institute and has specialized training in Addictions & Recovery, Treating Sexual Addictions, Grief and Loss, and Couples Counseling. She is providing quality supervision for students seeking practicum, internship and Clinical Supervision toward licensure and is currently accepting new students.

Dee enjoys working with a variety of clients. She has successfully treated patients with individual, marriage and family counseling. She loves people and recognizes the therapeutic relationship, trust, and the individualized care of each client is what leads to success.

In addition to private practice, Dee was the former Director of Client Services at the Crisis Pregnancy Center of Roanoke, Director of Counseling at the Liberty GodParent Home & Family Life Services Adoption Agency providing leadership and counseling to adoptive families, birthmothers and birthfathers.

She is a member of the American Association of Christian Counselors and The Virginia Association of Counselors. She is a member of New Life Christian Ministries, a loving wife and mother of two daughter’s and three schnauzer’s.
